The project takes as its starting point the three narrative reliefs that once formed part of the entrance of Jedlik Ányos Secondary School in Csepel. As a contemporary reinterpretation of these works, a new series of reliefs will be created, likewise visualising scenes from school life. The school’s students will take a direct role in developing the works: through a series of collaborative workshops, the themes, motifs and compositions will be defined together, while the creative process will also be documented in a short video. The completed reliefs will be displayed on a mobile structure beneath the original works, creating a direct dialogue between past and present representations of school life and the communities connected to them.
