Did you know that Saint Margaret of the House of Árpád lived and is buried on Margaret Island? On Luca Petrányi’s running tour, you’ll learn about the saint’s life through János Kodolányi’s historical novel Blessed Margaret, narration, and visual art displays—a life in which perseverance, self-discipline, extremes, and challenges played just as important a role as running does in your own life.
After the group warm-up and Luca Petrányi’s opening remarks, you can run at your own pace, and we’ll wrap up the event with a group stretching session. At the Margitsziget Athletics Center, you can use the lockers and showers for 1,200 HUF.
From September 22 to October 23, 2023, you can delve into the life of Saint Margaret even while running on your own by listening to the narration via the QR codes placed along the route and by viewing the art flags displayed every 500 meters along the running course.
